Our Story
In Memory of Benjamin Joseph Lambert IV
Benjamin Joseph Lambert IV was diagnosed with prostate cancer at the age of 46. He was a loving son, husband, father, and an active member of his community — a well-respected professional and a friend to all.
For six years, Ben fought with extraordinary courage and grace. He passed away at the age of 52, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and community spirit that continues to inspire everyone who knew him.
In November 2024, the Lambert Prostate Cancer Foundation was officially approved as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization — a living tribute to Ben's life and his family's commitment to ensuring other men and families receive the support and resources they deserve.
Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in American men. Early detection saves lives. Ben's story is our reminder that behind every diagnosis is a person, a family, and a community that needs hope.

Each year, the foundation awards two scholarships to students who have lost a parent or legal guardian to prostate cancer.
Need-Based
Community Support Scholarship
Awarded to students who demonstrate financial need following the loss of a parent or legal guardian to prostate cancer. We believe financial hardship should never be a barrier to pursuing higher education.
Merit-Based
Excellence & Legacy Scholarship
Awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement — carrying forward the spirit of dedication exemplified by Benjamin Lambert IV.
Eligibility Requirements
Must have lost a parent or legal guardian to prostate cancer
Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college or university
Need-based scholarship requires documentation of financial hardship
Merit-based scholarship requires academic transcripts and a personal essay
